NPDF STAFF MEMBER NEEDS MEDICAL SUPPORT ASSISTANCE!
The NPDF has been devastated to learn that one of our own, long time NPDF employee Amanda Avella, has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Though Amanda was lucky to have caught it early, this type of cancer is extremely aggressive and so it requires immediate and equally aggressive treatment.
Amanda’s situation is complicated because she has two little boys who are too young to understand the complexities of Mommy’s illness and the fact that her treatment may take a long time.
During this period of extensive treatment that will include both chemotherapy and surgery it will be necessary for Amanda to go on Disability while being treated. She won’t be able to work, and the chemotherapy treatments and surgery are devastatingly expensive. So, to help Amanda and her family during this difficult time, the NPDF has set up a Family Support Fund for her.
We encourage all members of the National Police Defense Foundation to contribute whatever you can to the Amanda Avella Family Support Fund. We also ask you to keep her in your prayers.
