On August 26, 2008, I appeared at a press conference in Colleton County South Carolina wherein I posted a $10,000 Safe Cop reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects who shot and killed Deputy Sheriff Dennis Compton on August 6, 2008. Deputy Compton was responding to a residential alarm when he was killed by three suspects. In September 2008, the suspects were arrested for first degree murder and on December 2011 were sentenced to life prison. |
